
Will Mitchell
Will Mitchell is Chief Commercial Officer of Elevate and has over 16 years of experience leading business development, customer origination and government affairs across North America. Having been a part of over $5 billion in deployed capital in the power sector, Will has experience across the North American energy markets with conventional, renewable, storage energy and electric vehicle technologies.
Prior to Elevate, Will was Executive Vice President of Commercial Operations at Forum Mobility, a pioneer in the electric trucking industry, where he led the Sales and Incentives teams, responsible for delivering the most cost-effective charging infrastructure and electric trucks to customers. He previously led the Operations team to ensure a seamless customer experience and the Policy team to drive market growth.
Before joining Forum, Will held the position of Vice-President of Western Business Development at Strata Clean Energy, a developer, owner and operator of solar and battery storage. During his tenure, he co-developed one of the world’s largest stationary battery storage projects. Will also co-led a market-leading portfolio of utility-scale solar and battery storage projects across the south-western US.
Will’s experience extends to Recurrent Energy, an early leader in solar development, where he led the government affairs group, managing strategic initiatives for their solar and storage portfolios and entry into new markets, including the first utility-scale solar project in Texas.
Will began his career in the energy sector with Competitive Power Ventures, an independent power producer. There, he provided support for policy and development activities across the United States and Canada for a diverse portfolio of conventional and renewable energy facilities.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Will is actively involved in his local community, previously serving as a volunteer firefighter and elected Fire District Commissioner. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island and completed additional studies in Barcelona, Spain.
